Background
As part of the Brown Daily Herald Data Desk, I contributed to the analysis of The Herald’s Spring 2026 Poll, which surveyed 1,275 undergraduate students between March 17 and March 19, 2026. The poll covered topics ranging from campus safety in the aftermath of the December 13 shooting to academics, lifestyle, and student approval ratings. All responses were analyzed and weighted by class year using R Version 4.4.3.
Extracurricular Time
A majority of respondents spend less than 10 hours per week on extracurriculars
Classes Outside Area of Study
Most respondents were taking at least one class outside of their area of study
